Disability Accommodations and  Services

Testing accommodations are available for students with verified disabilities. Verification can be obtained through the UCI Disability Services Center.

What should I do if I have a disability?

The following testing accommodations are available for students with verified disabilities. Verification can be obtained through the UCI Disability Services Center.

    • Enlargement of exams (V-Tech monitor or photocopy enlargement)

    • Tape-recorded tests; conversion to Braille

    • Extended test-taking time

    • Writing and/or reading assistance

    • Separate location availability

    • Computer access

    • American Sign Language interpreting

If you need any of the above services, a separate test date is required. (Please note, that the separate test date must be prior to the scheduled test date.) To make arrangements, please contact the UCI Disability Services Center at (949) 824-7494 (voice) or (949) 824-6272 (TDD). 

If you have a physical disability, you may park in any stall designated for disability parking, provided that you have a disability license plate or placard displayed on your dashboard. You will also need a UCI parking permit.

If you have a temporary disability due to injury, you may park in a stall designated for disability parking; however, before you can park, you will need to obtain a permit from UCI’s Parking and Transportation Services, located in the Public Services Building (#7 on the campus map). The office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
