Zoom Proctoring Services

For faculty only. Campus-based remote exam proctoring is now available for courses that meet special requirements. Learn more about this service here.

The Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning is pleased to offer campus-based remote proctoring for special situations in which alternate assessment, Respondus, or self-service Zoom proctoring is not possible. UCI Remote Proctoring is appropriate for large-scale midterms and final examinations with exceptional needs. This proctoring option involves UCI staff and TAs who will serve as live proctors in monitoring students while taking real-time, Canvas-hosted exams via Zoom.

If you are interested in this remote proctoring option, please contact testcenter@uci.edu or fill out the Remote Proctoring Request Form (updated for Winter 2021) and email it to testcenter@uci.edu.

Note that students will be required to have a webcam and be using either a Windows or MacOS computer; Respondus is not compatible with Google Chromebooks.
